Hyolmo Buddhist Heritage & Prayer Flag Ridges
Helambu is known historically as Yolmo or Hyolmo, a sacred hidden valley (Beyul) blessed by Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) in the 8th century.
Around Kutumsang, ancient Chörtens and Mani stone walls line the ridges. The colorful Buddhist prayer flags (Lungta) hung along our resort balcony represent the five cosmic elements — Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space — carrying prayers of peace, compassion, and strength across the Himalayan breeze.
